Automotive Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on repair orders on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with Dealership and manufacturer standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air
- conditioning, etc. to specifications
- Communicate mechanical diagnosis and required to service team and customers
- Ensure work area is kept in excellent condition regarding cleanliness, safety, and equipment at all times
- Continually learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology
- Responsible for reconditioning the dealership’s pre-owned vehicles, including performing light-duty technician and maintenance repairs
- Perform general maintenance and thorough vehicle inspections
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications of Automotive Technician:
- Ford Certification a plus
- Must be Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified
- Excellent diagnostic skills
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Experience working in a high-volume dealership preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Professional in appearance and grooming
- Positive Attitude and ability to take direction well
- Ability to work in warm and humid climate
- High school diploma or equivalent*All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include: background checks, MVR, and drug testing to qualify for employment*
Schedule Requirements:
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM plus occasional overtime

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, reach above head, sit, stand, talk and hear. The employee must be able to see color and at close and far distances and is required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
