Quick Lube Technician

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(Based on business levels some additional hours, including weekends, may be required).
SUMMARY
Performs routine oil change and lubrication services as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Perform work, including oil changes, filter changes, lubrication as outlined on service ticket with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership standards.
- Inspect and report any needed maintenance or replacements including air filters.
- Check fluid levels, fill if necessary.
- Fill out a follow up sticker and adhere it to the windshield.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Document work performed.
- Quality check work performed.
- Attend training classes
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of waste.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Six months to one year related technical training and/or experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees and to individual customers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current, valid, driver’s license. Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
